What if undernearth the broom stick and black hat was just a person confident in their magick?

The witch is one of history’s most misunderstood mystics- with tall tales of her flying on a broomstick and being in cahoots with the devil.

But what if I told you those stories were spun by the Catholic Church to redefine power towards religion, divert funds back to the church, and knee-cap the financial independence of women in the middles ages. AND that those tactics are still being employed today by culture to keep power out of the hands of women.

When we think of the word witch we don’t think about the healers, mothers, or revolutionaries like Joan of Arc or Mary Magdalene. Instead we’ve been conditioned to fear the word and condemn any resemblance of her.

Look at what happened when Vice President Harris ran for the most powerful office in the land- it was no coincidence they called her a child-less cat lady with a spine-chilling laugh. Being called a witch still works today to discredit someone.

The way we view witches is the way we view women in society.

Which is why spirituality is a revolution.

The world is going through great political and cultural transitions, so developing your inner peace through practices like meditation, nature, and spellwork is an act of resistance.

Institutions of power want you to have blind faith in their authority- but now is the time to write our own history.

The Resurrection of the Witch is a film about a new generation of witches who are bravely stepping into their spiritual power and reclaiming their divinity.
